With a nutrition consultant you do not know what training has been followed. That could have been a 3-day training or a weight consultant course. No prior education is required for this and there is no knowledge of medical matters. That is a big difference with a solid HBO education and post HBO education.

  • Do you work with the doctors?

Yes, we work together with the general practitioners and specialists of the hospital. In addition, the GPs employ practice nurses who provide support for chronic diseases such as Diabetes Mellitus type 2, lung diseases (COPD) and cardiovascular diseases (CVRM) and care for the elderly. We have good cooperation, which benefits your health.

  • Is the advice independent?

Yes, the advice is based on proven scientific research. This is called evidence-based. The practice is a member of independent networks of specialized dieticians: cardiology working group, overweight and obesity knowledge group, bariatric surgery. There is no sponsorship to pay dieticians. We are paid by the health insurance companies. The health insurers require membership of the professional association in order to be eligible for a contract. This practice does not use sponsored materials.

  • The GP wants me to see a dietician, do I need a referral?
